Last weekend, I spent a delightful Sunday afternoon immersed in my first online course: Designing Interiors for Entertaining with Amanda Lindroth. With design practices in the Bahamas, Charleston and Palm Beach, Lindroth specializes in creating cheerful, tropical-inspired interiors conducive to leisure and conviviality. Her course guides you through her framework for approaching a design project and includes downloadable workbooks for each lesson. I particularly enjoyed the detailed tour of her island home, Hope Hill, and the stories behind her personal design decisions.
Upon completing the course, I walked away with a toolbox of useful tips and tricks, as well as an underlying sense that a joyful home is about much more than an artful arrangement of pretty things. Lindroth encourages everyone to “dream about your house” and how you want it to make you feel. Beautifully-scented flowers, candle light, fresh breezes, crisp linens and an overall feeling of comfort and abundance are some of the elements that contribute to a gracious home that sparks joy for its inhabitants and guests alike.
Keep scrolling for a peek at some of the joyful interiors by Amanda Lindroth, plus my favorite island-inspired home finds from her line!
