A gorgeous book to inspire your next celebration

As a longtime admirer of James T. Farmer's aesthetic, I happily added his newest book to my collection. Celebrating Home A Time For Every Season has got to be one of the prettiest entertaining books I've seen in a long time. Arranged by seasonal gatherings, each chapter begins with a lovely watercolor invitation and often a sentimental poem to mark the occasion. I found myself slowly turning the pages to take in the gorgeous photography. (The images below were photographed by Emily Followill, and taken from my copy of Farmer's book.)[...]

As mothers to two daughters each (including two in middle school), Farrah and I confess that we often feel like we're in the thick of it. Motherhood is a joyful blessing that seems to simultaneously reveal our strengths, as well as our weaknesses and shortcomings. A crisp & refreshing cocktail for autumn celebrations

Sometimes it's best to keep things simple, especially when we're hosting and there are a million other things demanding our attention. This crisp and refreshing Autumn Apple Cider Mule is the easy cocktail we'll be mixing up throughout the fall season as it's equally suitable for Halloween night and Thanksgiving celebrations. You could even multiply the ingredients and mix up a batch ahead of time. If so, just follow the instructions through step 3 and add the ginger beer and garnishes before serving. Cheers!
