Our Favorite Thanksgiving Desserts

Charleston, SC

Thanksgiving is a holiday for gratitude, family, friends, and (let’s be honest) delicious food. We’ve rounded up our favorite autumn desserts so you will have plenty of goodies to serve and enjoy next week. From quick and easy treats like the pumpkin bars we share in the video to Lori’s beloved pumpkin roll that’s more suited for ambitious bakers–there’s something for everyone. Not a fan of pumpkin? We’ve got you covered with my “go-to” gluten-free apple crisp and a few other non-pumpkin recipes. We wish you all a joy-filled holiday filled with wonderful food and even better company.

  1. These Pumpkin Bars with Cream Cheese Frosting from the video are crowd-pleasers.
  2. Looking for something on the lighter side? This Gluten-Free Apple Crisp is another easy dessert that won’t leave you feeling stuffed.
  3. This old-school Pumpkin Roll recipe from Libby’s is Lori’s all-time favorite holiday dessert.
  4.  We love everything from Half-Baked Harvest. This Chai Spiced Apple Ricotta Galette would make a great alternative to a traditional pie.
  5. We couldn’t resist featuring at least one chocolate dessert. This Chocolate Bread Pudding with Bourbon-Pecan Caramel Sauce is perfect for chocolate lovers, but has an autumn twist.
  6. Why not send guests home with a box of these Cranberry Oatmeal Cookies, along with Thanksgiving leftovers?
  7. Instead of a predictable pumpkin pie, consider serving this classic Pumpkin Cheesecake.
  8. These Snickerdoodle Blondie Brownies would be a great addition to your holiday buffet.
