Last Friday, Farrah and I did something that felt a little indulgent. After dropping our girls at school and kissing our husbands goodbye, we packed up the car and headed to the mountains for a weekend of relaxation, spa treatments and design. It felt wonderful to unplug for a bit and soak up the mountain air, along with lots of inspiration at the Cashiers Designer Showhouse.
Located in the prestigious High Hampton community, the 25th Annual Showhouse was presented by the Cashiers Historical Society with the theme “Tradition…Reimagined.” More than a dozen interior designers, including Nellie Howard Ossie and the team at Blackberry Farm Design, decorated the classic mountain retreat built by Dillard-Jones.
While every room in the Showhouse hit a welcoming note–we found ourselves lingering in the bedrooms to pore over all of the little details, fabrics, trims, and vignettes. The primary bedroom by Blackberry Farm Design stood out for its happy hues and pattern play. In contrast, Nellie Howard Ossi designed an equally beautiful bedroom but with a softer, more muted vibe. I couldn’t decide which I liked better…
Below are just a few of the highlights. Which is your favorite?
A design-filled weekend in Cashiers was just the thing to leave me feeling joyful and inspired. Thank you to Farrah’s parents who graciously hosted us at their own gorgeous mountain home!
