JOYFUL LIVING, OPEN BOOK CONVERSATIONS
/
July 10, 2022

cultivating gratitude with farin doran

It happens every May. The summer illusion sets in, and I foolishly believe I’ll be able to slow down and savor the season while using the longer days to catch up on every facet of my life. Big surprise–it ain’t happening! Travel, house guests, kids out of school and the Charleston humidity have all made sticking to a writing and posting schedule more challenging than imagined.

What can I say? We’re working on our consistency at The Roost.  Plus, I’ve got a new post today that I hope you’ll agree was worth the wait! I’m excited to bring you another Open Book conversation with a lady who inspires so many to count life’s blessings and live joyfully.

I had the pleasure of sitting down with Farin Doran, the author of Live Inspired Gratitude Journal, a while back to discuss the connection between gratitude and joy. Her journal has become a welcome addition to my own nightly routine. I love how it’s helping me counter any negativity I experience throughout the day and turn gratitude into a habit. It makes me smile to see Live Inspired on display in our local boutiques (and on Amazon), and I can’t recommend it enough!

I was beyond thrilled when Farin graciously agreed to share her personal story and inspirational tips with The Roost. Her enthusiasm is contagious, and she’s someone who truly thrives on lifting up others and encouraging women to realize their potential. In addition to penning Live Inspired, she’s the lady behind the successful Inspire Her podcast. You can learn more at farindoran.com or follow along on Instagram @farindoran. In the meantime, grab yourself something cool to drink and get ready to be inspired!
