festive poinsettia punch

Charleston, SC

Just in time for the weekend, Lori and I have a beautiful and delicious cocktail to bring you an extra dose of Christmas cheer. A little jazz playing in the background, a cocktail (or mocktail) in hand, and good company is a great way to spread some holiday joy. A Focaccia Recipe that’s worth the carbs

Panicale, Umbria

One Italian staple which is an easy recipe, fun to make on your own or with kids, and oh so delicious is focaccia. If it weren’t for all the amazing food I ate while I lived there, I sometimes wonder if anything else would have sparked my interest in cooking. I think Italian cuisine suited me because there were a lot of accessible recipes for an inexperienced girl who didn’t know much about cooking. Everywhere I went I was interes[...]

A crisp & refreshing cocktail for autumn celebrations

Sometimes it's best to keep things simple, especially when we're hosting and there are a million other things demanding our attention. This crisp and refreshing Autumn Apple Cider Mule is the easy cocktail we'll be mixing up throughout the fall season as it's equally  suitable for Halloween night and Thanksgiving celebrations. You could even multiply the ingredients and mix up a batch ahead of time. If so, just follow the instructions through step 3 and add the ginger beer and garnishes before serving. Cheers! AUTUMN APPLE CIDER MULE  Makes 2 servings[...]

Simple pasta & tomato sauce

Charleston, SC

I lived in Italy for over a decade and this recipe is a must-know for anybody who truly loves Italian food. This is the most basic Italian recipe that every Italian can make. Even the men! If you’ve ever traveled to Italy or eaten at a really amazing Italian restaurant here in the States, you may wonder “How can a simple plate of pasta with tomato sauce taste so amazing?” There’s a very easy answer - the quality of the ingredients.
