a new fall tradition

Autumn is in full swing, and I’ve been savoring the cooler temperatures, cozy evenings at home and a little extra time with my girls. Whether it’s baking on Saturday mornings or making Wednesday game night a regular thing, having little traditions to plan and look forward to brings joy to the entire family. As the seasons change, so do our routines and traditions. A recent trip to the mountains left us hoping to return every fall to enjoy the fresh air and glorious foliage!

Porch View: Sunrise over the Mountains

For this trip, we rented a little cottage in Sapphire, NC. with lots of privacy and an amazing mountain view.  We spent most of the time hiking, shopping or exploring neighboring Cashiers and Highlands. We even got to see Farrah’s sweet parents in Cashiers (although we missed Farrah, Harry and their girls by one day)!

We all enjoyed the crisp weather, vibrant autumn colors and quaint little towns that seemed straight from a Hallmark movie. In fact, we’re already planning another visit next fall!

What are your fall traditions? We’d love to hear in the comments!
